Description:
Georgia's Place Bird Sanctuary would like to create an education center/wildlife rehabilitation center. The current building has a rodent problem, as well as structural issues, and cannot safely be used for wildlife rehabilitation.
The education center would include signage and modeling of what happens to chickens, turkeys and other birds in the food industry, along with pamphlets, fliers and other educational materials. There will also be a gift store that will help raise money for Georgia's Place.

So, our goal is to:
1. Get rid of the current doors, which are rotting and allowing for bigger animals to get inside, and replacing them with insulated double doors with glass, and a tight seal around the door.
2. Replace all the old, single paned windows to insulated windows
3. Create a rodent-free ceiling by taking down all current foam panels, clearing old rodent nests (and live trapping/releasing any living animals), then adding ceiling tiles and recessed lighting.
4. Creating a door between the wildife center and the education center
5. Pouring self-leveling epoxy floor coating.
6. Seal any and all holes to keep rodents out.
7. Have all this complete before our first on-site event in June.
We received one quote from a local contractor for $16,864.46, and $12,609.28 from another. I have yet to find at least two more contractors to give us quotes.
In order to raise the funds, we are reaching out to our donors, along with finding and writing for the appropriate grants. This fundraiser will be dedicated to this project.
